Summer 1

Our topic for Summer 1: In the Garden

In the summer term, we will be learning all about insects and plants. We will read different stories and learn the vocabulary of plant parts and plant our own seeds to watch them grow. We will also look at life cycles and how to order events in time using the words before and after.

Summer 2

Our topic for Summer 2: Deep Blue Sea

We will be reading stories about under the sea and learning about all the different animals that live in the sea. We will also be reading all about pirates!

We will be preparing for the move to Year 1. We will be practising coming into school independently and lining up at home time ready to leave school. We will also get to play in the big yard at lunchtime.
