This half-term we are reading stories of different cultures focusing on the Amazon Basin. The stories that we will concentrate on will be 'The Vanishing Rainforest' and 'The Great Kapok Tree'.  Children will be learning about the effects of deforestation  and will use their knowledge to write a speech as well as take part in a debate.
