Welcome to Year 1's Class page   

Ms Kausar and Miss O'Keefe would like to welcome you all  to year one Autumn 1 term.

We have lots of fun learning planned for the Autumn term 1.

In Year 1 we have PE taught by Miss Sam Dark every Monday and Tuesday, so please remember to have your kit in school and that all clothing and footwear is labelled.

The timetable at the bottom of the page shows our weekly curriculum.

Our Autumn 1 topic is 'This is Me!'. We will be reading 'Elmer' by David Mckee. In Geography, we will be learning about our school and the surrounding area.  See medium-term plan below.

Every week you will be expected to:

• Read your reading book every night (2 or 3 pages is enough). Books will be changed every Thursday.
• Practise your spellings every week for a spelling test on Friday.
• Practise reading and spelling Common Exception words every week
• Practice number bonds to 10/20 and counting in 2s, 5s and 10s every week
