LO:To write a biographical report
Watch the clip and answer the questions;
Today you will be writing the first two sections of your biography –
Growing up and Early Career.
What do we know about Carter as a person?
What
adjectives might we use to describe him?
Stubborn,
determined… Refer back to the role on the wall
created in the earlier lesson.
Use fronted adverbials to introduce when and where events occurred (previous learning).
Remember punctuation, capital letters at the start of sentences and for names, remember commas after fronted adverbials and adverbial phrases.
At 17 years old, Carter secured his first job as a tracer

As a young child, Carter suffered ill health.
