Reception
Mrs Novak, Mrs Phillips and Miss Monaghan welcome you to Reception.

The Reception year is a wonderful and exciting year where children are encouraged to become confident, enthusiastic, and independent learners. At Primet Primary, we’re fortunate to have a spacious and inspiring environment for learning. Our children enjoy access to their own classroom, a shared area, an outdoor space, and a Forest School. Each of these areas is enriched with activities that connect to our topics and reflect the children’s needs and interests. Take a look
The topics we are learning about this year are:
- We Are All Unique
- It's Growing Cold
- Amazing Animals
- Traditional Tales
- In the Garden
- Deep Blue Sea
For more information about our topics and our areas of learning, please see the Meet the Teacher information and the long term plan.
Below is our weekly timetable, outlining the subjects and activities your child will take part in each week. It provides a clear overview of what a typical week in Reception looks like.

In Reception, we have PE on Thursday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school and all items of clothing are labelled with their names.

- Practise high-frequency words
Important Information
