In this English and Art based topic, children will learn about stories and art based on Christmas themes.  In Geography, children will  study earthquakes and volcanoes with a focus on Mexico.  As part of this, children have the opportunity to research how volcanoes and earthquakes affect life in Mexico.

In English children study a  winter based film with flashbacks (23 degrees 5 minutes) to create a magical narrative.  In addition to this, children will write creative film reviews based on winter/Christmas.    Children will have the opportunity to research the artist Kandinsky as well as  use their imagination to create Kindinsky based winter themed art.
